Interesting, I went through the same thing a couple of days ago! Michael and I are rearranged the living room and bought some new furniture pieces. I felt there were just so many ways the room could be done and I couldn't figure out which was "best". After hours and hours of debate and a sleepless night, Michael pointed out that one choice was as good as another, we just needed to commit. I knew it intellectually to be true, but emotionally, I wanted to find the "best" one. Everything is pretty much in place now, and I like it and Michael was right that each option was probably as good as the next. I guess this is why when I work with elderly folks, I give them too choices- would you like to play the bells or the sticks? They get choice without the agony!
